Sweaty Betties

We enjoyed an evening of traditional music and dancing in the village and were given appropriate clothing to wear by our lovely foster mother Harisah. Obviously as it is a Muslim community we have been.very careful to keep our knees and shoulders covered at all times but these clothes took it to a new level. I must remind you- this country is HOT and HUMID and you SWEAT A LOT. Harisah and the children excitedly handed us some pretty clothes ** insert correct Malaysian name here - Claire = sieve for brains ** that consisted of a long skirt and long top. But these were made out of a polyester type material and LINED. It was heavy and oh did we sweat the millisecond we put it on! And then they happily handed us scarves! HOTTT!

A couple of the sweet and beautiful girls from our family joined us and off we went to Chris and Tamara's homestay to pick them up, giggling like schoolkids on their way to prom, excited to see what they were wearing.

Fabulous evening, who needs booze to have fun??
