Another Day in Paradise

Not had a chance to update for a while. Busy busy. We were WRONG about our new homestay, man we love it here. There are a LOT of children here who adore us and we really feel part of the family. At meal times there are about 10 of us sat eating dinner on the kitchen floor, it is great. We danced and sang karaoke today, they thought me and Laura's rendition of 'Eternal Flame' was brilliant and we got a round of applause Haha. They are BEAUTIFUL children. Kind, funny, friendly. So curious and gorgeous, holding our hands and asking questions. We are in love.

We did some hard graft today in the forest, clearing the grass and the vines from the young trees with parangs. We,were most proud of the results!

After a trip to the Eco camp for some leaf sweeping and general dossing we took a river cruise down Sungai Kinabatangan and saw some serious wildlife. The probiscus monkeys were holding each other looking terrified. They have a reason to be scared, there is hardly any rainforest left, palm plantations dwarf it massively, it is horrifying. Check the ingredients in your cosmetics, toileteries and food products and BOYCOTT PALM OIL!!!!!! I am deadly serious. Yes, Claire is embarking on yet another boycott. Join me please!!!!  xxx
